NQCC is collaborating with STFC’s new business support programme for quantum technology start-ups

The NQCC is pleased to collaborate with the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC)’s new business support programme announced yesterday for quantum technology start-ups. As a part of the programme, a first call for participants has been launched to work with STFC’s Quantum Business Incubation Centre (Qu BIC), which will support businesses developing products or services based on quantum technologies. The Qu BIC will help early-stage technology companies achieve their full commercial potential by de-risking the route from proof-of-concept to market innovative new products and ideas.

The first call will focus on businesses that are developing quantum computing technologies such as quantum computing hardware, software, and applications.

The Qu BIC provides an outstanding support package for start-ups, including:
💷 up to £50,000 targeted (R&D) funding
💷 up to £10,000 R&D vouchers to spend with public sector partners
💼 up to 50 hours of business support (including one-to-one coaching, investment readiness, market validation and intellectual property advice)
👥 networking and introductions to investors, funders, stakeholders

Expression of interest deadline: 14 January 2024.
