SC26 will take place in Chicago, Illinois, USA, from 15 to 20 November 2026. As one of the world’s premier conferences for high-performance computing (HPC), networking, storage, and data analysis, the event brings together leading researchers, technology developers, industry representatives, and end users to explore the latest innovations driving computational science and engineering.
Overview
Quantum computing is increasingly becoming an important part of the broader advanced computing landscape, creating new opportunities for collaboration between the quantum and HPC communities. SC26 provides a platform to discuss advances in quantum software, hybrid quantum-classical computing, simulation and emulation techniques, quantum circuit compilation and verification, and the infrastructure required to support scalable quantum applications. The conference also highlights how established expertise from the HPC community can help address key challenges across the quantum computing stack, including performance optimisation, scalability, reliability, and integration with existing computational workflows.
NQCC will be participating in SC26 as part of the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) exhibition presence. Visitors are invited to meet representatives from the NQCC at the STFC booth to learn more about the UK’s national quantum computing programme, ongoing research and innovation activities, collaborative opportunities, and efforts to accelerate the development and adoption of quantum technologies.
We look forward to connecting with researchers, industry partners, and the wider advanced computing community throughout the event.
