National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC) is pleased to announce that funding is now available for the third cohort of the Doctoral Studentship Scheme!
This unique initiative is designed to train 30 PhD students over five years through cutting-edge, collaborative quantum computing projects developed jointly by the NQCC and UK university partners.
For the third cohort, 6 fully funded studentships are available starting in autumn 2027, supported by EPSRC’s Industrial Doctoral Landscape Awards (IDLA) programme, with the NQCC acting as the industrial partner.
We invite academics at UK universities to engage with our Expressions of Interest (EOI) call. Shortlisted topics will be co-developed into full proposals with an NQCC co-supervisor.
Deadline to submit: 14 July 2026
