Collaboration provides catalyst for quantum acceleration

Scaling up the technology to achieve a broad quantum advantage will take scientific ingenuity and engineering know-how across many different disciplines, as well as close collaboration between the academic and commercial sectors.

One of the notable moves toward driving the collaboration is the appointment of Professor Elham Kashefi as the Chief Scientist for the National Quantum Computing Centre. This will lead to a collaborative project allowing Kashefi and her team in Quantum Informatics at Edinburgh to establish the Quantum Software Lab to turn industry challenges into quantum research outcomes.
